The 2004 UCAA End-of-Season Awards, announced March 30.
2004 UCAA Player of the Year
Tejvir Rathore Hobart
Junior (Indore, India)
A three-time UCAA Performer of the Week, Rathore finished the season with an
18-9 record, including a 6-0 mark against UCAA opponents. He played No. 1 all
season and represented Hobart at the CSA Indvidual Championships, advancing to
the semifinal round of the Malloy Cup (3-1). Boasts a 48-26 (.649) career
record.
2004 UCAA Rookie of the Year
Jamie McAvity St. Lawrence
(Greenwich, Connecticut)
Jamie McAvity 5-10 for the year as the Saints number two. He was 3-1 in the
UCAA Championships, going 3-0 at two and sustaining his lone loss playing the
one spot.
2004 UCAA Coaching Staff of the Year
Carol Weymuller Hobart
Weymuller guided the Statesmen to the inaugural UCAA Championship and a 15-9
overall record, the most wins in a season for the program. Hobart finished
second in Hoehn Trophy standings (10th overall) for its highest finish ever.
