Senior Midfield (Simsbury, Connecticut)

two-time Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week. She is the all-time
leader in Union women's lacrosse history with 205 career goals and 278 career
points, and is second all-time with 73 career assists. In the Liberty League
she is ranked first in caused turnovers; second in goals, points, and shots;
and third in assists and ground balls. Flanagan is ranked #10 nationally in
caused turnovers.
2005 Liberty League Rookie of the Year
Christine Castellon Vassar
Attack (Media, Pennsylvania)
Vassar's top offensive player as a freshman, Castellon led the Brewers in
scoring with 41 goals and nine assists. Her 41 goals represents the fourth
highest single-season mark in Vassar history. She was named the Liberty League
Rookie of the Week twice and in overall statistics, she ranks third in the
Liberty League in scoring (41/2.73) and total points (49) and fourth in points
per game (3.33).
2005 Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year
Judy Finerghty Vassar
Judy Finerghty and assistant Kate Morris guided the Brewers to seven wins in
the regular season, the most for Vassar since 1997 and more than double the
2004 season total. For the first time in 25 years, the Brewers won the annual
Seven Sisters Tournament with wins over Mt. Holyoke, Wellesley, and Haverford.
In Liberty League competition Vassar lost two games in overtime and two others
by a single goal. The Brewers will play RIT in the New York State Tournament
and a potential 8th win would be the second most since the program started
keeping official records in 1992.
