The 2005 Liberty League End-of-Season Awards, announced March 30.

2005 Liberty League Player of the Year
Lara Kimble   St. Lawrence
Senior (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe)
Playing as the Saints' number two Lara Kimble had a perfect season at 14-0 as a senior in the regular season and went 2-2 at CSA Individual nationals to finish with a 16-2 overall record. She completed her career with a 41-9 overall record. Lara was 3-0 in the Liberty League Tournament. Kimble was a five-time selection this season as Liberty League Player of the Week.

2005 Liberty League Rookie of the Year
Maddie Brooks   William Smith
(New Canaan, Connecticut)
Maddie Brooks anchored the middle of the William Smith lineup all season, posting a team-best 15-5 record, including a perfect 4-0 mark against conference foes. Playing primarily in the No. 5 slot, she dropped just one game at the Liberty League Championships to help the Herons earn their first conference crown. She was a Liberty League Rookie of the Week selection four times this season.

2005 Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year
Chip Fishback   William Smith
In his seventh season at the helm, Fishback guided William Smith to a record-breaking season in 2004-05. Under his guidance the Herons captured their first Liberty League squash title and posted a program-best 15-5 record, the most wins for William Smith in its brief history. The Herons also finished a program-best 15th in the Howe Cup.
