The 2006 Liberty League End-of-Season Awards, announced May 4.

2006 Liberty League Player of the Year
Liz Longley   Hamilton
Junior Attack (Duxbury, Massachusetts)
The Liberty League leader in assists, Liz Longley is just two assists shy of the Hamilton record for assists in a season with 31 through 15 games. Her efforts have helped the Continentals to an 11-4 overall mark including a 6-2 record in league play. Longley was a two-time selection as Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week this season.

2006 Liberty League Co-Rookie of the Year
Kaillie Briscoe   Hamilton
Attack (Orangeville, Ontario)
A four-time selection as Liberty League Rookie of the Week, Briscoe ranked second in goals in league play with 25 in eight games. Her 46 overall goals ranked third in the league and are the second-most ever for a first-year player at Hamilton.

2006 Liberty League Co-Rookie of the Year
Lindsay Dakin   Rochester
Attack (Henrietta, New York)
Dakin was the Liberty League leader in goals per game with 50 total scores including 26 in league play. She ranked third in overall points per game and second in points per game in league play. She was named Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week on April 24 after recording 16 goals and two assists in a 3-0 week for the Yellowjackets.

2006 Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year
Pat Genovese   William Smith
Genovese guided William Smith to a 10-5 regular season, including a 7-1 mark in league play which put the Herons atop the league standings. The Herons boasted the second-ranked defense in league play, surrendering 10 goals only once in eight league games. Genovese is assisted by Sarah Queener and Liz Harris.
