The 2007 Liberty League End-of-Season Awards, announced March 12.

2007 Liberty League Player of the Year
Jim Bristow   Rochester
Freshman (Devon, England)
A four-time Liberty League Peformer of the Week and the top player all season for the Yellowjackets, Bristow finished his inaugural campaign ranked No. 11 nationally with a 21-2 record. He was undefeated until the CSA Individual Championships, accumulating a 20-match winning streak along the way. In the Liberty League Championships he won each of his matches in straight sets and outscored his opponents by a total of 108-11.

2007 Liberty League Rookie of the Year
Nick Pearson   Hobart
(Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)
A five-time Liberty League Rookie of the Week, Pearson played in the No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 positions for Hobart this season. He had an overall record of 15-9 record, including a 12-3 mark at No. 3. He was 5-1 against Liberty League opponents and his eight-match win streak between Nov. 18 and Jan. 13 was the longest by a Statesman this season.

2007 Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year
Martin Heath   Rochester
Under Heath's guidance, Rochester finished the 2006-07 season ranked No. 16 nationally and jumped two full divisions up to the Hoehn Division at the CSA Team Championships. Rochester went 2-2 at the Liberty League Championships with losses to Hamilton and St. Lawrence, but came back later in the season to defeat both of those teams. The Yellowjackets were recognized by the College Squash Association with the Barnaby Award as the most improved team in the nation. Heath is assisted by Matthew Danker.
