2006 Volleyball Awards
The 2005 Liberty League End-of-Season Awards, announced November 7.

2006 Liberty League Player of the Year
Darryl Manzer   Skidmore
Senior (Camden, New York)
A four-time All-America selection, Manzer is among NCAA Division III national leaders in kills with 5.01 per game and blocks with 1.16 per game. She has a .381 hitting percentage and is Skidmore's all-time leader in kills and blocks. Manzer was the Liberty League Performer of the Week seven times in 2006 and was the Liberty League Performer of the Year for the third straight time.

2006 Liberty League Co-Rookie of the Year
Lauren Dinsdale   Skidmore
(Harrington Park, New Jersey)
Dinsdale is an honorable mention AVCA All-American. She was recently selected as the AVCA New York Region Freshman of the Year. She finished the season with 906 digs (6.97 per game). One of the region's top defense players, she was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week seven times.

2006 Liberty League Co-Rookie of the Year
Lauren Lesce   Union
(Rochester, New York)
Lesce was a four-time Liberty League Rookie of the Week. She was named to the 2006 New York State Women's Collegiate Athletic Association (NYSWCAA) Volleyball All-State All-Star Team. She was named to the Honorable Mention squad, and is one of only three freshmen of the 23 players honored. Lesce averaged 9.3 assists per game and led the team with 65 aces.

2006 Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year
Hilda Arrechea   Skidmore
Arrechea and her staff led the Thoroughbreds to a 23-13 record and NCAA Division III tournament berth. During the regular season, the Thoroughbreds beat NCAA Division III New York Regional winner Stevens 3-2 to capture the Skidmore Invitational championship.
