2006 Liberty League Player of the Year
Laura Burnett-Kurie William Smith
Junior Forward (Durham, NH))
The Liberty League leader in goals (10) and points (23), Burnett-Kurie helped the Herons to a 10-5-1 overall record
and a 6-1-0 mark in league play. She had two two-goal performances this season and was named both the Liberty League
and ECAC Upstate Player of the Week on September 18. Burnett-Kurie was a first-team Liberty League selection in 2005
and the Liberty League Rookie of the Year in 2004.
2006 Liberty League Rookie of the Year
Stanzi McGlynn St. Lawrence
Midfield (Montoursville, Pennsylvania)
A two-time selection as Liberty League Rookie of the Week, McGlynn was the Liberty League leader in assists (7) and tied
for 10th in the league in points (11). A defensive as well as offensive threat from the midfield, she helped the Saints to
six shutouts this season and a 9-7-1 overall record, including a 5-1-1 mark on the road.
2006 Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year
Brian Speck Union
Speck guided Union to an undefeated season in Liberty League play with a 6-0-1 mark, and a 12-2-3 record overall. The Dutchwomen
are competing in the playoffs for the ninth straight season. Union is 30-3-6 over the last two seasons and 68-7-8 over a four-year span.
Speck is assisted this season by Jessica Critchlow.
