The 2007 Liberty League End-of-Season Awards, announced March 12.
2007 Liberty League Player of the Year
Katie Hendricks William Smith
Senior (Haverford, Pennsylvania)
Hendricks led the Herons at No. 1, posting a 10-10 record, including a 5-1 mark against
Liberty League opponents. She closed out her career with a 29-20 mark, earning wins over nine
nationally-ranked opponents this season. She was also named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team.
2007 Liberty League Rookie of the Year
Meg North St. Lawrence
(Woodbury, Connecticut)
North played in the No. 2 and No. 3 positions for the Saints all season. In the Howe Cup, she went 2-1 in the
No. 3 position to help the Saints to the Championship of the Epps Division.
2007 Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year
Sally Cockburn Hamilton
Cockburn guided Hamilton to its first Liberty League Championship and finished the season with
an overall record of 10-8, including a 4-0 mark against Liberty League teams. Hamilton competed in the
Kurtz "B" Division for the first time under Cockburn at the Howe Cup. Eight different players earned a total of 10 weekly
performer awards for the Continentals this season.
