2011 Men's Outdoor Track & Field Awards
The 2011 Liberty League End-of-Season Awards, announced June 6.

2011 Liberty League Outdoor Track Performer of the Year
Jon Erickson   Vassar
Senior (Lexington, Kentucky)
Erickson earned Division III Qualification in the 800m where he finished 16th at the NCAA Championships. He was the Liberty League champion in the 800m and contributed to a school-record setting relay to win the Liberty League 4x400 title. He was a three-time Liberty League Track Performer of the Week.

2011 Liberty League Outdoor Field Performer of the Year
Ja'Mar Watson   Rensselaer
Senior (Baltimore, Maryland)
A seven-time Liberty League Field Performer of the Week, Watson was also Liberty League Field Performer of the Meet with wins in the hammer throw and discus at the league championships. He was tabbed the Most Outstanding Field Performer of the Meet at NYSCTC Championships with school & meet record win in hammer throw. He placed third overall in the hammer at the ECAC Championships and was 13th in the same event at the NCAA Championships.

2011 Liberty League Outdoor Rookie of the Year
Stephen Silber   Rensselaer
(Blossvale, New York)
Silber recorded wins in the high jump and the 4x100 relay at the Liberty League Championships to help RPI to its third straight title. He won the high jump at the NYSCTC championships as Engineers won the team title in that event as well. He was a five-time selection as Liberty League Rookie of the Week.

2011 Liberty League Outdoor Coaching Staff of the Year
Colin Tory   Rensselaer
Tory led his men's squad to their third straight Liberty League title and the program's eighth NYSCTC Championship. RPI finished best among league teams at the ECAC championships and sent two competitors to the NCAA Championships. The RPI staff was named USTFCCCA Atlantic Region Men's Coach of the Year as well as NYSCTC Men's Coaching Staff of the Year. Tory is assisted by Jen Adams, Camille Ross, Chris Donais, John 'Doc' Hudson, James Kennedy, Warren Lutes and Allison Sage.

The 2011 Liberty League End-of-Season Awards, announced March 23.

2011 Liberty League Indoor Co-Track Performer of the Year
Austin Drexler   Rensselaer
Junior (Houston, Texas)
Drexler garnered Liberty League Performer of the Meet honors after winning three events (55m, 200m, and long jump) at the conference meet. He also placed sixth or better in four events at the State Meet, including a win in the 55-dash, while participating in two events at ECAC's. Drexler is a four-time Track Performer of the Week.

2011 Liberty League Indoor Co-Track Performer of the Year
Dan Ramsey   St. Lawrence
Senior (Essex Junction, Vermont)
Ramsey won the 5000 meters and anchored the winning Distance Medley Relay team in the Liberty League Championships, and won both the 3000 and the 5000 at the NYSCTC championships. He also won the 3000 and was second by .01 seconds in the 5000 at the ECAC Championships.

2011 Liberty League Indoor Field Performer of the Year
Ja'Mar Watson   Rensselaer
Senior (Baltimore, Maryland)
Watson was the Liberty League and NYSCTC Field Performer of the Meet this season. He won the weight throw five times in 2011, finishing no lower than fourth in the other three meets. Watson also recorded seven NCAA Provisional marks in the event. A seven-time Field Performer of the Week, he also won the shot put twice and was sixth or better in five meets.

2011 Liberty League Indoor Co-Rookie of the Year
Stephen Silber   Rensselaer
(Blossvale, New York)
Silber was the NYSCTC Rookie of the Meet after winning the state high jump title. He finished eighth or better through eight meets in his event, including four top-five marks.

2011 Liberty League Indoor Co-Rookie of the Year
Tom Lehmann   St. Lawrence
(Sandwich, New Hampshire)
Lehmann won the triple jump with a 13.01 meter series at the Liberty League Championships and was sixth in the long jump. He was fifth in the NYSCTC championships in the triple jump.

2011 Liberty League Indoor Coaching Staff of the Year
John Newman   St. Lawrence
Newman coached his team to the Liberty League indoor championship and the NYSCTC indoor championship in the 2010-11 season. The Saints also finished sixth in the ECAC championships. He is assisted by Mike Howard, Kevin Burrall, Katie Gernand, and Aland Joseph.
