The 2008 Liberty League End-of-Season Awards, announced February 28.

2008 Liberty League Player of the Year
Marisa Vespa   William Smith
Senior  Guard  (Watertown, New York)
A four-time selection to the Liberty League First Team, Vespa led all league players this season in assists, assist-to-turnover, and steals. She ranks second in the league in three-point field goal percentage and ranks seventh nationally in assists per game through games of February 24. A three-time selection as Liberty League Guard of the Week, Vespa is the only player in William Smith history to amass 1,000 points (1,070) and 500 assists (552) in a career.

2008 Liberty League Co-Rookie of the Year
Sierra Noles   Clarkson
Guard  (Averill Park, New York)
A five-time selection as Liberty League Rookie of the Week, Noles was the second-leading scorer for Clarkson this season averaging 6.7 points per game. Her average of 2.5 assists per game was tops on the Clarkson team and ranks eighth among all league players.

2008 Liberty League Co-Rookie of the Year
Mollie Danahy   William Smith
Guard  (Troy, New York)
Danahy was named Liberty League Rookie of the Week four times this season. She ranks eleventh among all league players in steals per game and was third on the William Smith team in both steals and three-point field goals.

2008 Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year
Lindsay Drury   William Smith
Drury guided William Smith to a 22-2 overall record this season, including a 13-1 mark in Liberty League play. The Herons have been nationally ranked for seven consecutive weeks, climbing as high as 10th this season in the WBCA Division III poll. Drury is assisted by Julie Hergenroder and Charlie Evangelista.
