2011 Liberty League Offensive Player of the Year
Brittany Parks Vassar
Junior Guard (Escondido, California)
The leading scorer (20.3 ppg) and top free throw shooter (.867) in the Liberty League, Parks was named
among the league's Performers of the Week nine times this season. She ranks 14th in scoring and 11th
in free throw percentage in the latest national rankings. Parks scored in double figures in 22 of 24 games
this season, including nine games with 20 or more points and two games with 30 or more points,
2011 Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year
Linda Larsen Rensselaer
Senior Guard (Kovenhavn V., Denmark)
Larsen leads the Liberty League in steals, averaging 3.14 per contest. She has recorded at least one steal in 17 games,
while posting four or more steals in 10 games. Also the Engineers leader in assists, Larsen ranks third in the Liberty
League in free throw percentage and 12th in scoring.
2011 Liberty League Rookie of the Year
Cydni Matsuoka Vassar
Guard (Sacramento, California)
A unanimous selection as Rookie of the Year, Matsuoka ranked third overall in the Liberty League in scoring (17.8 ppg)
and led the league in 3-point field goals made (2.92), 3-point percentage (.471) and assists (5.0 apg). She was a
five time rookie and two-time player of the week selection. In the latest NCAA statistics, she ranks fifth nationally
in 3-point field goal percentage and 10th in 3-pointers made. She scored in double figures in 22 of 24 games,
including 19 straight games to finish the season.
2011 Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year
Candice Brown Vassar
Brown has led Vassar to the Liberty League Championships for the first time ever. Vassar's eight Liberty League wins are
the most since the Brewers joined the league and 14 overall wins are the most since the 2000-01 season.
Under Brown, Vassar led the league in free throw percentage (.762), 3-point field goal percentage (.387), and 3-point field goal
percentage defense (.273). Brown is assisted by Melissa Kraft.
