The 2011 Liberty League End-of-Season Awards, announced June 6.
2011 Liberty League Outdoor Track Performer of the Year
Wendy Pavlus St. Lawrence
Junior (Tupper Lake, New York)
Pavlus came off an illness which cost her the last three meets of the outdoor season to finish second in the NCAA 10,000
meters and ninth in the steeplechase. She was Liberty League champion in the 1500 and 5000 and was a five-time selection
as Liberty League Track Performer of the Week.
2011 Liberty League Outdoor Field Performer of the Year
Connor Ahlborn Rensselaer
Senior (Falls Church, Virginia)
Ahlborn placed second in the hammer and shot put at the league championships to help RPI to its third title. She was
second in the hammer and shot put at the State Meet as the Engineers finished third. She was sixth overall in hammer
throw at the ECAC Championships and was a four-time selection as Liberty League Field Performer of the Week.
2011 Liberty League Outdoor Co-Rookie of the Year
Hannah Kinsey St. Lawrence
(Barton, Vermont)
Kinsey won the 100 meters, was second in the 200 meters, anchored the winning 4x100 meter relay team and
scored in the javelin (6th) in the Liberty League Championships. She was fourth in the 100 and anchored the
4x100 relay team to a third place finish in the NYSCTC Championships.
2011 Liberty League Outdoor Co-Rookie of the Year
Aubree Peipmeier Vassar
(Franklin, Massachusetts)
Peipmeier ran the first USA Junior National Championships Qualifying mark in Vassar History, running a 5000m time
of 17:37.33 at the Princeton Larry Ellis elite meet. Her time qualified her for ECAC Championships and was just
3 seconds off NCAA provisional national standards. She was a six-time selection as Liberty League Rookie of the Week.
2011 Liberty League Outdoor Coaching Staff of the Year
Colin Tory Rensselaer
Tory and his staff guided the Engineers to an outstanding season. RPI won their third straight Liberty League title
and finished third and 19th at the NYSCTC and ECAC Championships, respectively - both tops among all
conference schools. Additionally, 14 weekly honors were handed out to seven athletes, while another 14 were All-Academic
selections. Tory is assisted by Jen Adams, Camille Ross, Chris Donais, John 'Doc' Hudson, James Kennedy, Warren Lutes
and Allison Sage.

2011 Liberty League Indoor Track Performer of the Year
Wendy Pavlus St. Lawrence
Senior (Tupper Lake, New York)
Pavlus won her fourth straight NCAA championship with a win in the 5000 in 16:41.78. She was also ECAC champion at that
distance in a meet record time and won the mile and the 800 at the Liberty League championships. She was second in the
mile in an NCAA provisional qualifying time and 4th in the 800 at the NYSCTC Championships.
2011 Liberty League Indoor Field Performer of the Year
Connor Ahlborn Rensselaer
Senior (Falls Church, Virginia)
Ahlborn finished sixth or better in the weight throw in all eight meets this season. She also had two victories and an
NCAA provisional mark. She won the weight throw (third in shot put) at the league meet and went on to place second in the
weight (fourth in shot put) at States. A four-time Field Performer of the Week, she was sixth in the weight throw event at
the ECAC championships.
2011 Liberty League Indoor Co-Rookie of the Year
Cheryl Tran Rensselaer
(Milton, Massachusetts)
Tran was a two-time Rookie of the Week honoree and won the high jump title at the Liberty League championships. She
competed in four events at the conference meet, finishing sixth or better in addition to the victory. Tran was fourth
in the high jump at the State Meet and placed 11th overall in the event at ECAC's.
2011 Liberty League Indoor Co-Rookie of the Year
Victoria Bean St. Lawrence
(Exeter, New Hampshire)
Bean won the long jump and triple jump, and ran on the winning 4x200 relay team at the Liberty League Championships. She was also 5th in the NYSCTC championships in the triple jump.
2011 Liberty League Indoor Co-Coaching Staff of the Year
Colin Tory Rensselaer
Tory guided the Engineers' women to second and third place, respectively at the Liberty League and State Championships.
RPI was the top finishing league squad at the NYSCTC Meet. Five student-athletes combined for nine weekly honors while 14
were conference All-Academic selections. Tory is assisted by Jen Adams, Camille Ross, Chris Donais, John 'Doc'
Hudson, James Kennedy, Warren Lutes and Allison Sage.
2011 Liberty League Indoor Co-Coaching Staff of the Year
Kate Curran St. Lawrence
Curran coached her Saint women's track and field team to the 2011 Liberty League Indoor Track and Field championship and to a fourth place finish in the NYSCTC Championships.
She is assisted by Mike Howard, Kevin Burrall, Katie Gernand, and Aland Joseph.
