2007 Women's Soccer Awards
The 2007 Liberty League End-of-Season Awards, announced November 1.

2007 Liberty League Player of the Year
Tracy Stankavage   William Smith
Senior Defense (Chittenango, New York)
Stankavage anchored a William Smith unit that allowed just six goals all season, posted a league-low 0.37 goals against average, and 10 shutouts. The Herons gave up a league-low 0.88 points per game, allowing their opponents a combined 14 points all season. Stankavage also got in on the scoring this fall, tallying two game-winning goals and an assist. She scored in wins over Scranton and Nazareth, and added a helper in a victory over Wittenberg. Stankavage was recognized as the league's Defensive Performer of the Week twice this fall, and was named to the 2006 All-Liberty League second team. William Smith finished its regular season with an unbeaten 15-0-1 record, and was nationally ranked all season long. The Herons climbed to fifth in the NSCAA national poll, highest among all Liberty League teams.

2007 Liberty League Rookie of the Year
Brelynn Nasypany   William Smith
Forward (Herkimer, New York)
A unanimous choice both as Liberty League Rookie of the Year and as a First Team All-League selection, Nasypany led the Heron offense, posting 11 goals and five assists for 27 points. She shares first in the league in game-winning goals (4), ranks second in goals, and third in points. She was named Rookie of the Week three times, and Offensive Performer of the Week once this fall. Nasypany netted all three of William Smith's goals in a 3-1 win over Rensselaer, and was responsible for the thrilling, last-minute goal in a 1-0 win over St. Lawrence. She was a huge factor in William Smith's success this season, leading the Herons to an unbeaten 15-0-1 overall record and a top-five national ranking.

2007 Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year
Colette Gilligan   Hamilton
Gilligan guided Hamilton to 13-0-1 overall record and share of the Liberty League regular season title with 6-0-1 mark in league play. Posting the first unbeaten regular season in Hamilton history, the Continentals rank eighth in the most recent NSCAA top 25 and are one of eight unbeaten teams in Division III. Hamilton outscored its opposition 47-6 on the season, including a 17-2 mark in Liberty League play which was both the most goals scored and the fewest allowed by any league team. Gilligan is assisted by Patty Kloidt and Amanda Nobis.
